Ocean Carpets are able to provide the following bespoke services for internal or external spaces on boats as either stand alone commissions or as part of a refurbishment programme:

• new carpets where none have previously been fitted

• replacement carpets

The sections of carpet can generally be loose-laid given the convoluted shapes of cabin floors, but to prevent movement where simpler contours are involved, the use of snap studs or commercial double-sided Velcro provides adequate stability. These carpets are fully edge-bound to offer a ‘finished’ appearance.

Alternatively, sections can be close fitted as in domestic applications, or laid with adhesive.  Typically, products are entirely synthetic, contract quality which is resistant to moisture and can be easily cleaned.

In larger areas on bigger vessels, where there is little chance of excessive moisture ingress, cut pile products with a natural fibre content may be suitable.
